Dry carpet cleaning typically involves the use of specialized machines to clean carpets with recently developed chemical technologies that permit very low moisture cleaning, resulting in carpet beautification, and removal of stains, dirt, grit, sand, and allergens.

CARPET SHAMPOO CLEANING

Carpet shampoo cleaning is usually done using rotary machines with carpet shampoo, followed by thorough wet vacuuming.

This method is getting less popular in Singapore, as it requires a drying time of up to 24 hours, and require windows to be left open to air the carpet.

STEAM CARPET CLEANING

Steam carpet cleaning method uses equipment that sprays heated water, sometimes with added cleaning chemicals, on the carpet.  At the same time, the water is vacuumed up, along with any dislodged and dissolved dirt.

This method is not suitable for wool or man-made fibres, as it may shrink wool and man-made fibres.
